  2. Gudmar Patti (gymnema sylvestre): Gudmar patti  (gymnema sylvestre)  is a perennial woody vine native to Asia, Africa and Australia. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine. Common names include gymnema, Australian cowplant, and Periploca of the woods, and the Hindi term gurmar, which means “sugar destroyer”
  3. Neem Patti: Neem tree has a strong place in the world of medicine and wellness. Every part of the Neem plant can be used against various infectious diseases.Neem can be taken orally and also be applied on the affected skin area to manage various skin problems like acne, pimples, skin rashes and skin allergies. It is also used to reduce the symptoms of psoriasis, eczema and ringworm infection.Taking a Neem tablet after meals daily can be beneficial for diabetic patients as it may help lower blood sugar levels.Neem oil can be applied to get rid of head lice and can also help manage wounds (like diabetic ulcers) in diabetic patients. Neem twigs, if used regularly, can help prevent dental problems like gingivitis, cavities and tooth decay. It is advisable to avoid the consumption of Neem during pregnancy as it may cause a miscarriage. In some cases, Neem might cause vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness and skin allergies if taken more than the recommended dosage.
  4. Suddha Shilajit: Shilajit is a mineral based extract which is pale-brown to blackish-brown in color. It is found in the Himalayan rocks and is composed of a gummy substance. Shilajit contains humus, organic plant materials and fulvic acid. It consists of more than 84 minerals including copper, silver, zinc, iron, and lead.
    Shilajit is a health rejuvenator that improves stamina and also improves energy levels. This helps manage chronic fatigue, tiredness, lethargy and fatigue due to diabetes. Shilajit is known to improve the testosterone level and enhance male fertility. It is also beneficial in anemia and memory loss.

Leaves tend to cure bilious infections. Fruits are known to counter constipatic and diarrhea. Bark of the plant cures dysentery, spongy gums, ulcers, diabetes, asthma, leucorrhea and urinary problems. With its traditional uses, Gular patra has many biological properties like antitussive, chemo preventive, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antidiuretic and antipyretic.Parts of the plant contain no. of phytochemicals which are responsible for fighting with ailments. Roots of the plant contain euphorbol and its hexacosanoate, tinyatoxin, cycloartenol and taraxerone. Bark consists of elements like taraxerone, leucoanthocyanins such as leucocyanidin-3 O-B-glucopyranoside and leucopelarogonidin-3-0-a-Lrhamnopyranoside, euphorbol and its hexacosanate, B-sitosterol, ingenol, stigma sterol, lupeol, unidentified long chain ketone and ceryl behenate. Leaves of the plant contain glauanol acetate racemosic acid Tetra triterpene. Fruit consists lupeolacetate, ß sitosterol, glauanol, higher hydrocarbons, glucose, hentriacontane, tiglic acid, phytosterol, esters of taraxasterol and friedelin. Latex of the tree contains euphol, a-amyrin, trimethyl, ellagic acid, tirucallol, euphorbinol, isoeuphorbol, tinyatoxin, taraxerol, cycloartenol, B sitosterol 4-deoxyphorbol and palmitic acid.
  7. Giloy: Giloy, also known as Amrita or Guduchi in Hindi, is an herb that helps improve digestion and boost immunity. It has heart-shaped leaves that resemble betel leaves. All parts of the plant are used in Ayurvedic medicine. However, the stem is thought to have the most beneficial compounds.
  8. Vijaysar: Vijaysar is widely used in Ayurveda as a “Rasayana” (rejuvenating) herb. The bark of Vijaysar has significant importance in Ayurveda in managing diabetes and is also known as “The miracle cure for Diabetes” mainly due to its Tikta (bitter) nature.
    Vijaysar helps to manage blood sugar levels by preventing damage to pancreatic cells and promoting insulin secretion due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Drinking water kept overnight in glasses made of Vijaysar wood is an age old practice for keeping blood sugar levels in control. Taking 1-2 Vijaysar capsules twice a day is also good for diabetes and weight loss.
